Saturday, September 28 We travel from Nice to Barcelona in Spain, where we are welcomed by members of the Spanish association of Palm Fans. The curator of the Botanical Garden in Blanes will guide us and we will go on to visit the Tracycarpus valley in Angles. - Hotel in Gérone.

Sunday, September 29 After breakfast in our hotel we fly from Barcelona to Alicante and will visit the nurseries of Palmazur and continue on to the palm grove of Elche, accompanied by F.P. Melendez, Director of the city Parks Department. We will then visit the Huerto del Cura with Santiago Orts. - Hotel in Elche.

Monday, September 30 We fly from Alicante to Malaga where we will be welcomed by José Antonio del Canizo, author of the book Palmeras and curator of the “Jardin de la Concepcion” - Hotel in Malaga.

Tuesday, October 1 We fly from Malaga to Palermo on the island of Sicily at the southern tip of Italy. We will be welcomed by the center for research on Italian palms here and then visit the botanical garden as well as the Puccio and Villa Malfitano gardens. - Hotel in Palermo.

We leave Sicily and fly to Naples where we will visit the prestigious botanical garden. Our late afternoon departure from Naples will take us to Rome for a free evening in the Eternal City of Rome. - Hotel in Rome.

Thursday, October 3 We will spend the morning visiting the Villa Doria Pamphili and its gardens as well as the botanical garden of Rome. The afternoon will be free for sightseeing. That evening we will leave Rome for Nice where we¹ll spend the night. Mercure and Ibis Hotels in Nice.

Friday, October 4 We will travel by bus from Nice to Sanremo, just beyond the French-Italian border, visiting the Hanbury Garden with Paola Profumo and then we will be welcomed by Claudio Littardi, President of the Palm Research Center based in Sanremo and there we will visit the numerous gardens of that city of the Italian riviera. We will have our farewell dinner here and then return by bus to Nice. Last night in Nice and end of post tour program. - Mercure and Ibis Hotels in Nice.
